DATA CARRIERS is a series of prints which are based on the ACTION CARRIERS. In producing the ACTION CARRIERS Wassermann reacts to Austrian and German print media like e.g. Bild, Spiegel or Krone with an action - he applies cellotape to certain photos and articles, collects image and text fragments by removing the cellotape and collages the stripes on paper. The artist repeats this act in public space where he collects fragments of graffitis and bill-boards. For DATA CARRIERS Wassermann digitalises and enlarges some motives of his ACTION CARRIER collages and prints them on handmade paper. |
