IT WAS A T-BONE STEAK is a book sculpture which mixes images of Turin Shroud and gay porn. The images which have been alienated with the help of a fax machine are combined with quotes from gay porn, printed on transparencies and bond as a book. The cover of the book is made from human hair which has been matted.  Here Wassermann indicates a connection to the killing of gay men and women during National Socialism where their dead bodies were exploited to produce felt, soap and other products of daily use. In course of the commemoration day of the liberation of the concentration camps in Austria, IT WAS A T-BONE STEAK was presented at concentration camp Mauthausen, the Austrian parliament and the Jesuit Church Innsbruck at the same time.
