For the series of photographs entitled LOOK INTO MY EYES, Franz Wassermann places a "Nachtpfauenauge" (peacock moth) on his naked body. The artist puts the animal on his chest, his penis and in his open mouth and makes it travel over his whole corpus. The pair of eyes which is located on the wings of the moth creates eye contact with the beholder while Wassermann himself keeps his eyes shut. |
